Around the World Trips - See More, Do More, Spend Less

Travel the world is a fantasy for most, and a very economic reality for a few. Many of my clients refuse to believe that they can see ten countries for the price of three simply with a little extra planning.

I bought the following once:

Sydney> Singapore> Saigon> Kathmandu> London> Toronto> San Francisco> Sydney

Total cost? $ 1250. This is not a typo

The reason I was able to buy these discount flights is that I bought them in bulk, known as "Travel Round The World". They function as a wholesale store: large travel agencies buy thousands of tickets at a time and sell them individually to travelers. If you buy tickets at the same time (instead of a standard round trips), you get a significant discount. I like to look at people's faces when I show them how to see more people for the same amount of money. This is how you do it:

Avoid flying to destinations "out of the ordinary". The main centers of the world are generally cheaper than secondary airports, and this is especially true if you buy in bulk. Think of your World Tour ticket as a general description of where you want to go; For example, do not include all the Asian cities you want to see, choose a flight to Bangkok (the largest center in Southeast Asia, and therefore the cheapest) and then calculate the rest when you are there. I recommend choosing one or two main centers for each continent you wish to visit, as this will reduce your flight costs and provide you with some flexibility along the way.

Includes surface segments. Once you have a general description of the dream destinations, fill them using surface segments. For example, you can buy a flight from Sydney to Bangkok, then travel by land from Bangkok to Beijing (another economic center) before travel to London. The surface segment allows you to see more rural areas between these two cities and add several new countries to your routes. In addition, you will save more money of travel by train than by plane (one of the ways is often the most expensive way to fly).

Add stops to your trips. I used it to my advantage in my last round of the global adventure. The route had a stopover in Singapore (which I had not planned to visit), which basically gave me a free trips to Singapore! Before buying a ticket travel     around the world, ask your travel agent if they allow stops like this one; the majority does

Go big or go home Travel around the world becomes cheaper the longer you leave. My advice is to take at least six months (preferably a year) for a trips like this. You will find that when you travel to ten destinations, many will be very cheap (for example, Thailand, India, Nepal, Argentina). If you plan accordingly, you can extend your trips by spending more time in these areas. One of my friends spent two weeks in Bali with enough money for food and food. He had not planned to visit Bali, but it was a stopover, so he took advantage of it. These two weeks in paradise cost him less than three days in London. Use these economic differences to your advantage.

Travel the world deserves more attention than they have. Not only can you save a ton of money by grouping several dream destinations, it is often found in countries (and situations) that you never expected. If you are interested in the price of some different options.
