Best Beach Holidays In The World

Best Beach,Holidays

You know what it's like when you're looking for ideas for your next beach vacations: every brochure seems to boast "white sand," and all the photos look the same. But if what you are looking for is a different beach, look no further. Here is my selection of the most beautiful coasts in the world that are absolutely 100% white sand.

Black is the new black
Anyone who has been to Tenerife knows that there is nothing more dramatic than the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic licking the black sand. The volcanic lava that gave form to the island made many of its beaches present this magnificent black coastal feature. My personal favorite (and there is a wide range on the island to choose from) is Playa Jardín in Puerto de la Cruz.

Located in the middle of the friendly landscapes of the local artist César Manrique, with palm trees, waterfalls, rock pools and a beautiful botanical garden, Playa Jardín has a backdrop like no other. Enter the warm water and discover a rich marine habitat perfect to explore with a breathing tube.

In the rose
A whim of nature, which has led to a thriving community of pink organisms (known as foraminifera, if interested), means that the fine, dusty sand of the beautiful subtropical island of Bermuda looks pink. This unique feature, combined with perfect weather and warm, calm waters, has made Bermuda a popular place for long time for those seeking a beach vacations with a difference.

Of all the beautiful expanses of pink sand on the island, my favorite should be West Whale Bay Beach (so called because it is on the migratory path of the royal giants, the humpback whale). You only have to see the crystal clear waters breaking against this soft pink sand once to be convinced that Bermuda is really a paradise on earth. And in case you need a little extra drama in this quiet scene, there is a historic fort located on the cliffs above. What more could you ask for?

Pebbles in the sand
Many tourists I talk to turn away from the idea of taking a beach holiday with a pebble beach: until I show you photos of Zlatni Rat in Croatia. Located on a 500-meter peninsula that stretches across the Adriatic, Zlatni Rat has been formed by millions of tiny pebbles that sit on the surrounding reefs and create a natural spring in the crystal clear waters. Today the beach is a mecca for tourists who seek to admire natural phenomena and swim in the crystal clear waters of the reef.

I hope I have proven that there is more to choose from on a beach vacations than just looking for white sand and palm trees. Maybe the next time you choose your vacations spot, I might look for something a little different, one of the best beaches on my list, for example.
